Ingrid Ankerson, Professional Graphic Design Faculty
DMA Department Co-Chair
As a native of a Wisconsin farming community abundant with open horizons, Ingrid’s world view developed with a strong sense of optimism and rock solid work ethics. With a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and a Masters in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts, Ingrid has worked as a print and web designer, public relations associate, writer, editor, and teacher.

In 2007, she established Ankerson Communications, a design and communication business. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Ingrid specializes in professional graphic design and creative communication solutions to advance art and education, community-based organizations, and positive social change.

As a typography enthusiast that has a penchant for color, layout and graphic design, she is also a Department Co-Chair of the Digital Media Arts Department.

Kevin Woodland, Professional Graphic Design Faculty
Kevin is an artist, designer, and educator from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Currently, he teaches several design courses on topics ranging from Graphic Design History to software-based creative tools at WCC.

Previously he created websites, infographics, and departmental branding for the University of Michigan Health System. Prior to that, he designed exhibition graphics and marketing materials for the University of Michigan Museum of Art.

Through his involvement with the non-profit writing center 826michigan, Kevin has designed and provided art direction for numerous student writing collections, including several of the organization’s flagship annual publications.

Prior to graduating from Bowling Green State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design, Kevin had the opportunity to spend a semester in Florence, Italy, where he studied design and art history.
