Latinas confront numerous challenges in the community college experience emanating from racist feelings and pervasive stereotyping. These two adversities force them to remain silent or they chose to remain silent for the sake of safety. Exclusion, lack of involvement, and absence of support systems on campus force them to drop out after the first year and not to return. This paper aims to explore their experiences in transitioning to the community college.
