Veterans Day Observance Celebrations @ Washtenaw Community College, Ann Arbor Campus
Nov 11 @ 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Dear Students and Alumni,

We cordially invite you to share in the events planned to honor our veterans on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11. When you arrive on campus Monday, the areas around the Student Center will be adorned with American flags in proud recognition of our veterans.

Here’s how the day will unfold:

  • At sunrise [7:00am], several of our veterans representing their respective military forces will raise the American flag in front of the Student Center. I hope you can attend this patriotic and moving ceremony.
  • From 10:30 to 11:30am, we are holding a ceremony on the second floor of the Student Center. Two of our student veterans will speak about their experience serving our country – remarks you won’t want to miss.
  • From noon to 1:00pm, we will host a luncheon for our veterans in the Community Room in the Student Center. Please RSVP here.

We encourage everyone to stop by the Student Activities office in Student Center room 108 to sign a card thanking our veterans for their service to our country. It will be presented to our veterans at the ceremony.

We owe so much to our veterans, and it’s an honor to recognize their bravery and patriotism. I look forward to seeing you on Nov. 11.
